High Ofsted Report Acheived
Little Waltham Pre-School received 'Outstanding' in four key areas of early years provision in a recent Ofsted inspection and an overall rating of 'good', making it one of the top Pre-Schools in the area.
Established in 1975 by a local parent, Little Waltham Pre-School is a charitable organisation that provides affordable childcare in a safe, secure, stimulating and fun environment for children aged between two and five years old. The Preschool, based in the Memorial Hall building in Little Waltham, serves the local community and surrounding areas and supports a number of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Ofsted, the office for Standards in Education, Children Services and Skills, regulates children services and inspects all schools and childcare facilities throughout the UK every three years. Little Waltham Pre-school's Ofsted report congratulated the pre-school on improving on it's previous rating of 'satisfactory' particularly at a time when Ofsted has raised it's expectations considerably in recent years. The areas identified as 'Outstanding' included the pre-schools focus on continual improvement and it's high level of engagement with parents and carers.
Susi Stacey, Chair of Little Waltham Pre-School Committee, says:"We are absolutely delighted to have the efforts and achievements of our staff, committee and parents recognised. As a local parent, I feel we provide a vital service to our local community and have strong links to our local school, many parents rely strongly on Ofsted reports when selecting childcare facilities and we hope this will encourage them to consider Little Waltham Pre-School as the right start in life for their children."
With its commitment to continual improvement, the pre-school is already hoping to achieve 'outstanding' in it's next Ofsted inspection.
